As some of you may already be aware, Dr Andrew Fletcher, GP Partner at St Andrews Medical Centre was recently hospitalised. During his admission he tested positive for COVID-19. Dr Fletcher spent a few days in hospital recovering from his symptoms and is now at home free from the virus and with his family. Dr Fletcher self-isolated on 12th March and tested positive on 19th March at which point Public Health England were contacted and their advice followed.
All individuals who were in contact with Dr Fletcher have been identified and the appropriate measures taken. Steps have been taken to minimise the risk to patients and staff. We would like to offer assurance that it remains safe for patients to attend the practice should a GP or Nurse request you to do so.
