    Salford Foodbank gets emergency food to local people in crisis. Whether you take on the part-time role of a warehouse volunteer or choose to meet clients face-to-face while helping out at the centre, you will help to make a real difference to those in need.

  • Salford Sea Cadets

    As long as you’re aged over 18, you can get involved with Salford’s unit. If you’re enthusiastic and want to help train young cadets or can apply business skills to assist the management team, then there is a role for you. You will be supporting local young people and gaining externally recognised qualifications.

  • Allotment Project

    Come along to the Allotment Project, enjoy the outdoors and get more active by doing some light gardening. Everyone is welcome – suitable clothing required.

    The Allotment Project runs on Tuesdays from 12pm to 2pm at Tindall Street Allotments, Tindall Street, M30 7DF.

  • Talking Newspaper

    Join a dedicated team of volunteers to help compile a weekly audio round up of the local news suitable for blind or partially-sighted individuals. There are both speaker and admin roles available.

  • Bike Rides for Beginners and Experienced Riders

    Free leisurely community bike ride. There may be a number of adult bikes and helmets which are free to use – just turn up. Wear suitable clothes and bring a drink.

    Family rides will be in school holidays. All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Groups meet on Fridays from 10am to midday at Cleavleys Track, Blantyre Street, Winton, M30 8HY.

  • Mental Health Drop-In

    Activities at the group include arts and crafts, pool and table football, board games, wellbeing and weight management classes. The group meets on Mondays from 10am to 1pm at Salford Link Project, Chadwick Road, M30 0WP.

  • Stop Smoking Drop-In Sessions

    The Stop Smoking Drop-In sessions allow you the chance to have a chat with our stop smoking advisors and to meet other people who are also trying to quit.

    The sessions are held on Mondays from 4pm to 5:45pm at Eccles Gateway (Room 2), Barton Lane, M30 0TU.
