Register with the surgery

St Andrews Medical Centre is a Safe Surgery:
This means that we are committed to providing equal access to our services for everyone in our practice area, regardless of their immigration status. This is in line with our duties under NHS England guidelines for GP registration and informed by our knowledge of the barriers to healthcare faced by migrants in vulnerable circumstances. Reception staff should keep the following five guidelines in mind when migrant patients seek to register with our practice.

Catchment area

Before filling out a registration form, check you are in our catchment area.

You can also find out which GPs you can register with on the NHS website.

Registering with the surgery

To register with the surgery:

A new patient registration form needs to be completed for each member of the family that you wish to register, including children.

When you register, it’s helpful to have your NHS number. You can use the NHS website to find your NHS number.

Once complete, it can take up to 10 working days for a patient to be registered with the surgery.
