There are a number of services locally that you are able to make self referrals to.

GP referrals
To request a GP referral:

Provide as much information as you can as this will help us to process your request.
Tracking a referral
To track an existing referral, or to view how long it may take until you get an appointment following a referral:

Urgent referrals
If you were told by your doctor that your referral was an urgent referral to check for cancer, you should receive details of your appointment within a week. Please make contact with us if you have not.
NHS e-Referral
If your doctor has referred you to a specialist for further care you will be asked to book your appointment using the ‘NHS e-Referral’ system.
You will receive a letter from us within 2 weeks giving details of how to book your appointment and any passwords you may need.
MICG
Many of the referrals sent by the surgery are electronic and use the Manchester Integrated Care Gateway (MICG). You can expect someone to ring you from the MICG within 3 weeks. If you have not heard from them in this time, please contact them directly.
