Using AccuRx Scribe Transcription in Consultations

At St Andrews Medical Centre we sometimes use AccuRx Scribe to support clinicians during patient consultations. These tools securely convert spoken conversations into written clinical notes in real time, helping to capture accurate information efficiently while allowing clinicians to focus more on listening to you.

No recordings are made or stored. The transcription happens instantly during your consultation, and all real‑time processing takes place on secure servers located within the EU, fully compliant with UK data protection standards.

Your privacy and consent are always respected. The clinician will always let you know when they are using an AI transcription tool. If you do not wish to give consent, the transcription can be turned off immediately, and your consultation will continue as normal.

Using these tools helps:

  • Free up clinicians’ time to focus on you, not typing
  • Improve the accuracy and consistency of medical records
  • Maintain high standards of data security and confidentiality
